The hardest part is that the money wasn’t mine.
I am writing as M.C to protect my privacy and the privacy of those affected—not to avoid responsibility. Someone entrusted me with funds held in Ethereum and authorized me to buy and sell on the spot market only. The limits were clear. I was the one who crossed them.
I tried futures trading. Some early trades worked, then I opened a long position at around $4,000 per ETH. When the price fell to around $3,000, I added to the position. In my account, the liquidation level moved from roughly $600 to roughly $1,600. When the market reached that level, the position was liquidated.
The money was lost. The obligation was not. It is still mine to repay.
I do not want to call this bad luck and walk away. I chose a type of trading I had not been authorized to use. I began repaying from my own resources and sold part of my assets. Today, $190,000 remains, and I have nothing left to sell toward it.
This debt has affected my family, caused serious strain, and weighed heavily on my life. It is difficult to ask for help when you hoped to put things right on your own. But staying silent does not return what is owed.
I am not asking you to overlook my mistake or to feel responsible for fixing it. If you are able and willing, I am asking for help taking a step toward repayment. Your support will not fund another trade or an attempt to win back losses.
If you have a programming task or another request I can genuinely help with, I am willing to discuss it and work within my abilities. I want to contribute my effort, not only ask for help. Thank you for giving my story your time, whether or not you choose to give.
